~My feet felt the cold icy water of the calm lake
~But there laid a body that almost looked fake
~I went up to it to take a closer look
~But right through his belly was a large human hook
~I gasped in fear and turned to run away
~But when I looked back at him I decided to stay
~I sat next to the hooked frail man
~”I think I’ll name you Stan.”
~I fixed up his hair and made him a robe
~”I bet no ones got a pet like mine around the globe.”
~I took him to my playhouse, just outside the woods
~Laid him on the cot and baked him some goods
~”You need to eat my dear hungry Stan.”
~For his favorite food I learned was flan
~When I went to turn around and get him a plate
~He smiled in a way that wasn’t so great
~”Stan why are you smiling? Are you excited to eat?”
