~She was small but so was I

~About the size of my nine year old thigh

~She fit in my arms perfect and snug

~I looked down at her and at my heart strings she tugged

~I was an aunt the day she was conceived

~And from that I felt achieved

~Such a small child in the arms of another

~This wonderful soul made me so proud of my brother

~He loves his wife he loves his daughter

~And his love still flows like smooth gentle water

~And from his wife came love too

~And all the hard times I know they’d make it through

~I loved that little girl right from the start

~She has and always will have a special place in my heart
