Do not touch the fire with your bare hand

It will burn your skin straight to the bone

Unless you make it to the beach, water and sand

She is not wise to reach out to the light by where you stand

Because it holds a darkness you cannot see

Do not touch the fire with your bare hand

She will drown when you look away as planned

She will get trapped, and burn in the depths of the sea

Unless you make it to the beach, water and sand

She is gone and you now alone on this cold dry land

Stone against stone; all alone

Do not touch the fire with your bare hand

She has caused you to go from a light skin tone to a dark tan

A ship pulls up but you won’t be able to make it

Unless you make it to the beach, water and sand

And you, you don't make it and now you’re stuck

On the island of your nightmares; and she tried to tell you

Do not touch the fire with your bare hand

Unless you make it to the beach, water and sand
